In the Rye Middle School Engineering Department, we believe that students should be empowered to lead their own discovery to support this time that they are finding their own passions and beginning to think about their future selves.  The Gateway To Technology (GTT) program incorporates national standards in science, technology and mathematics, focusing on how technology is used in engineering to solve everyday problems. During the GTT experience, students will gain the skills they need to develop, produce, and use products and services.

Our rigorous project-based curriculum features hands-on classroom engagement, promoting collaboration as students are tasked with solving relevant and challenging problems faced by engineers around the world. As students engage in the activities in computer science, engineering, and physics, they see a range of paths and possibilities they can look forward to in high school and beyond.
